We're delighted to announce the trade up of our ‘VIP HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE’ to a PLASMA SCREEN TV. Now’s your chance to get your hands on the newest technology. Remember there's one more slot available for August - plenty of time to arrange a fundraiser to fund a trade or maybe you are in a position to provide a service, or have an unused antique in the attic? We would love to see all counties getting involved :)
Starting from July 2010 a novel fundraiser is set to kick off throughout Ireland. The plan is a simple one and stems from the ‘one red paper clip’ idea in which a young Canadian blogger called Kyle MacDonald, managed to trade his way from a single red paperclip to a house in a series of online trades over the course of a year. Research Motor Neurone (RMN) and a sister charity The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) are adopting this idea in a joint fundraising event where it is anticipated that two items per month will be traded till an expected end date in December. You are limited only by your imagination! All traders get to enjoy the traded item until the last trade off which will be cashed in or raffled off in support of both charities. In the mean time MND is brought to the fore. All unclaimed trades will be auctioned off during a grand finale auction. Smaller items donated during the course of the campaign will be included at that time. This campaign aims to include counties, communities and families to bring fun into fundraising for all.
